It's been a while since I have posted about products that do good. But I came across an article today and I thought that I just had to share it.
The Forbes article talks about a documentary called On The Way To School, which centres on less ordinary trips to school. You can see the very powerful trailer here. The article brought home the fact that these kids don't always have the right footwear, if any at all, whether it's as basic as size or to protect them against injury or disease.
It then revealed the fantastic work that the non-profit Because International do, and their product The Shoe That Grows . It's such a brilliant idea, and an amazing solution for children in developing countries, in order to protect their feet as the shoe adjusts to grow with them - five sizes in fact - and lasts up to five years. With two base sizes, kids aged 5 to 14 have the chance to have shoes that will grow with them and keep themselves safer from injury or illness. What's not to love?
You can read about the product here and buy a pair to go in to a rucksack that will be sent to the areas that they help.
Thank you Esha Chabbra, contributor at Forbes for covering this, and we wish you all the best The Shoe That Grows!
