We love: Roma, giving poverty the boot

August 26, 2015

I'm all for a great pair of wellies. Years of growing up in the countryside in Yorkshire meant that I got through quite a few pairs of faithful and trusty Hunters. So when I came across the style focussed yet socially conscious Roma Boots I got excited.

Operating on a 'buy one give one' basis, the boot company combines fashion with philanthropy in order to, quite literally, give poverty the boot. For every boot sold, a brand new pair stuffed with educational supplies is donated to a child in need across the globe.

Established in Dallas, U.S., in 2010 by Romanian-born Samuel Bistrian, he drew on his early years experience in developing Roma. A truly inspiring individual making an impact and doing good.

Check them out here - I know they're on my gift list, hope that they get on yours too!
